Zhang Dehong, male, was born on August 5, 1944 in Dalian, Liaoning Province and is now vice chairman of China Massage Association of Blind Practitioners, vice chairman of Liaoning Massage Association of Blind Practitioners, vice chairman of Dalian Massage Association of Blind Practitioners, Chairman of Association of the Blind in Jinzhou County, member of Dalian Professionals Center and President of Dehong Traditional Chinese Medical Massage Hospital holding his technical title of assistant chief physician.
President Zhang Dehong began his medical massage career dating back in 1965 and has made great breakthrough on the basis of traditional massage practice ever since. He now is able to skillfully exercise a wide array of massage techniques. Besides, he is also well versed in internal medication, gynecology, pediatrics and surgery, etc. and is highly competent in treatment of common and complicated diseases.

President Zhang Dehong applies pulse taking, auscultation, percussion, palpation and a combination of traditional and western medical practice to diagnosis and treatment of diseases and prescribes drugs and administers medication based on individual cases, contributing to excellent medical effects.
In addition, President Zhang Dehong has also made his name in treatment of spinal curvature with the “comprehensive conservative spinal curvature therapy” of his own making having filled in the gap in medical history of China . Over the past two decades, he has cured more than 800 patients of different types of spinal curvature with the success rate closing to 100% and finally got his name of “Killer of Hunchback”.
Due to his mastery medical skills, Zhang Dehong has won the acceptance and acclaim from the Party officials, state leaders and people of all walks of life. He has consecutively received awards and honor for his achievements. In 1994, he was selected as “Chinese Contemporary Doctors of Celebrity” by Chinese and Western Medical Association of China; in 1995, he was listed in “Book of Chinese Scientific and Technical Talents”; in 1997, he was listed in “Chinese Scientific and Technical Elite” published by Hong Kong New Times International Cultural Press; in 1998, he was designated as an international medical advisor by Canadian Traditional Medical Association and ranked as “Top 10 Outstanding Disabled Persons” in Jinzhou County; in 1999, he was rewarded “Chinese Redbud Golden Prize for Medical Science” by Hong Kong-based International Youth Federation of Traditional Chinese Medicine and was also named as “Medical Advisor of Hong Kong Science Academy”; in 2000, he was named as “Self-Struggling Model” by Liaoning Disabled Workers Committee, Liaoning Personnel Department and Liaoning Association of Disabled Persons; in 2001, he received “Award for International Medical Achievements” by Hong Kong International Medical Science Research Institute and was also elected as vice chairman of Dalian Massage Association of Blind Practitioners; On September 8, 2003, he was selected as “National Self-Struggling Models”; on September 28, 2003, he was elected as vice chairman of Liaoning Massage Association of Blind Practitioners; in November 2003, he attended the National Academic Seminar on Medical Massage; on March 20, 2004, he was elected as vice chairman of China Massage Association of Blind Practitioners. Besides, his outstanding achievements have also been widely reported newspapers and magazines, including “Technology Daily”, “Times Information News”, “Heilongjiang Daily”, “Jiamusi Daily”, “Liaoning Youth Daily”, “Dalian Daily”, “Old Man World” and “Window to Northeast China”, etc. His thesis entitled “200 Cases of New Treatment of Spinal Curvature By Massage, Traction and Fixing Therapies” won the prize of “World Excellent Medical thesis” in 1999.
